Acer P1510 Projector

We’ve always said that if you’re going to get your hands on a projector, it might as well be in 3D. Well, we would have always said that if there had always been 3D projectors but now that there are… you get the point.

Anyway, meet Acer’s P1510 projector. This is a relatively high-end product from the company that slots in near the top of their range but without being oversized. It weighs in at just 2.5kg, which is unusual for a home projector capable of 1080p video but that’s not something that we’re going to look down on. Ever.

The Acer P1510 is an ideal home theatre or gaming alternative to a TV screen in that it offers full HD, as we’ve already mentioned, as well as a wide array of inputs including dual HDMI ports. You’re also looking at VGA and Composite options, S-Video support and USB, for those times when you just want to load something that you have on a flash drive.

The Acer P1510 has a brightness, in Standard Mode, of 3500 lumens – which will make watching media on this projector a breeze in most conditions. If, like us, you prefer an authentic experience, then total darkness is still a good idea. And authentic is what you’re in for, with a max diagonal image size of 300-inches (or 7.62 metres, if you like) being available for this unit.

Long story (very ) short, you’re going to need a whole lot of space to make proper use of the Acer P1510 projector. It’s got a maximum throw length of almost 10 metres, so it’s best set up in a dedicated room, preferably with a whole lot of accompanying audio/visual equipment nearby.

And then you’re going to have to install a small fridge, very comfy couch and possibly a portable toilet, because then you’re never going to want to leave that room. Ever.
